5% of US voters identify as single-issue crypto voters — Paradigm poll

According to Paradigm, 20% of individuals surveyed indicated that they currently hold or have previously purchased crypto.

An October 2024 poll from venture capital firm Paradigm revealed that 5% of respondents indicated they were single-issue crypto voters in the United States presidential election. The results suggest that the voting bloc has the power to swing an election that will be determined by a “razor-thin” margin.

According to the Paradigm poll, roughly one-quarter of crypto owners surveyed indicated they were single-issue crypto voters, including 11% of voters in the 18-34 age bracket, 8% of male respondents, 7% of African American voters, and 8% of Hispanic voters.

Paradigm noted that the 5% of pro-crypto, single-issue voters is more than double the margin of victory in swing states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, where election results are decided by a slim 1-2% margin.

Prediction markets are not being manipulated — Kalshi founder

The most recent Polymarket odds put Trump's chances of winning the 2024 Presidential election at 60.3% and winning all six swing states.

Former President Trump's 20-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris on Polymarket has sparked manipulation concerns. Tarek Mansour — the founder of the Kalshi prediction market — recently argued that these results were accurate and not the result of inorganic manipulation by presenting comparable data from Kalshi.

Mansour began by dispelling the media claim that a handful of large whales are skewing the odds in favor of Trump. According to the Kalshi founder, "The median bet size on Harris is larger than the median bet size on Donald Trump," with the median bet size for Harris coming in at $85 compared to Trump's $58.

The founder also explained that more individuals on the Kalshi platform are placing bets on Trump, and the 20-point lead reflected on Polymarket roughly tracks with the number of individuals betting Trump will win the November election on Kalshi.

Bitcoin to hit $200K by end of 2025 regardless of election — Bank exec

The 2024 election is projected to be a tight race on the granular local level, but this shouldn’t matter for the long-term price of BTC.

Geoff Kendrick, global head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered — a cross-border bank — believes Bitcoin (BTC) will have likely reached $200,000 by the end of 2025 regardless of who wins the 2024 United States presidential election.

According to the bank executive, three factors are poised to drive the price of Bitcoin to new all-time highs in 2025, including the likely removal of Staff Accounting Bulletin-121 (SAB-121) — a rule effectively preventing banks from holding digital assets for clients — a marginal uptick in inflation, and positive inflows into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Kendrick expects SAB-121 to be repealed by both Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Similarly, the Standard Chartered executive said that leadership changes at the Securities and Exchange Commission were likely coming — specifically noting SEC Chair Gary Gensler’s negative impact on the crypto industry and what Gensler’s potential replacement could mean for the markets.
