India’s regulatory position on cryptocurrencies and central bank digital currencies continues to fuel debate, with recent discussions suggesting CBDCs could have an edge over “private cryptocurrencies.”

In an Oct. 23 X post, Sumit Gupta, the co-founder and CEO of CoinDCX, argued that CBDCs and cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) serve different purposes and “shouldn’t be viewed as competitors.”

A year on from the start of the Israel-Hamas war, the Israeli blockchain industry is facing the challenges of widening geopolitical unrest in the region, with some talent “hesitant to consider” roles within its borders.

Despite this, Israeli business leaders who spoke to Cointelegraph were optimistic about the future of the country’s blockchain industry.

An August report from Statista shows 60,000 Israelis had emigrated in the previous 24 months from May. The business statistics platform also noted a 25% increase in emigration from February 2023.

The show, which is based on the "Space Nation" game, plans to use non-traditional distribution channels such as second-window broadcasts for streamers.

A live-action TV series based on the “Space Nation” Web3 game is in development with Hollywood director Roland Emmerich and producer Marco Weber leading the project.

According to an exclusive report from Variety, the duo intend to explore the game’s history, lore, and setting through a live-action series, but they’re not developing it for a network or streaming site.

Instead, the report indicates Emmerich and Weber are pursuing non-traditional distribution methods such as licensing series content for “second window streaming” — a picture-in-picture format where gamers would ostensibly stream the TV show while also streaming their live gameplay and/or commentary.
