Off The Grid drops ‘insane’ Trump and Harris outfits before US election 

Gaming commentators noticed the voice clip of the character that resembles Kamala Harris, where she calls out a “one percenter” and says they should be taxed.

Third-person battle royale shooting game Off The Grid has released new character skins resembling the two candidates in the upcoming United States presidential election, leaving gamers calling the move “insane” and “wild.”

Titled the “Save Democracy Content Pack,” the Nov. 2 gameplay trailer features audio snippets of character skins inspired by US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, using phrases similar to what they’ve said in the past or subtle references to their policy positions.

“I’ve always been against the death penalty, but in this case, I’ll make an exception,” the blue female skin declared, which gamers have suggested resembles Kamala Harris.

VanEck invests in Web3 gaming startup Gunzilla

It's the second bet on Web3 gaming by VanEck's liquid token strategy fund. 

VanEck’s private crypto fund has invested in gaming startup Gunzilla Games, marking the asset manager’s second bet on Web3-enabled gaming, VanEck said on Oct. 31.

Gunzilla is the creator of Off The Grid, a “dystopian cyberpunk shooter” where players earn Gunzilla’s native GUN token, VanEck’s Matt Maximo said in a post on the X platform.

“We see crypto as a tool to enhance gaming experiences and improve monetization strategies,” Maximo said.
