Exodus’ donation to a political action committee is to “help support their mission of educating and mobilizing crypto voters around the country.”

Crypto wallet provider Exodus announced a sizeable donation to the Stand With Crypto Alliance in an effort to garner more political support for the industry from American voters. 

Exodus, a firm founded in 2015 behind the popular crypto wallet, announced its $1.3 million donation on Sept. 24 to the Stand with Crypto political action committee (PAC) to “help support their mission of educating and mobilizing crypto voters around the country.”

The Stand With Crypto Alliance, which started the PAC in May, claims there are 52 million American crypto owners it strives to empower through education and political awareness in the lead-up to the United States presidential election on Nov. 5.

Kamala Harris has spoken publicly about crypto for the first time, pledging support for the industry while stressing consumer protections.

Kamala Harris made her first public statement amid her campaign for the United States presidency — vowing to encourage investment in artificial intelligence and digital assets during a Wall Street fundraiser.

“We will partner together to invest in America’s competitiveness, to invest in America’s future. We will encourage innovative technologies like AI and digital assets while protecting our consumers and investors,” Harris said at a fundraiser in Manhattan, Bloomberg reported on Sept. 22.

“We will create a safe business environment with consistent and transparent rules of the road,” Harris said. “We will invest in semiconductors, clean energy and other industries of the future, and we will cut needless bureaucracy.”

As the 2024 election draws closer, Vice President Kamala Harris has flipped four out of the six swing states on Polymarket, including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and, most recently Nevada.

The Vice President's lead is widest in Michigan — where her odds are 66% — followed by Wisconsin at 58% and razor-thin margins in Pennsylvania and Nevada at 52% and 51%, respectively.

Harris' odds of victory in the 2024 Presidential election on the prediction market have shot up to 52% compared to Trump's 47% — a solid 5-point lead.

The 2024 election is projected to be a tight race on the granular local level, but this shouldn’t matter for the long-term price of BTC. 

Geoff Kendrick, global head of digital assets research at Standard Chartered — a cross-border bank — believes Bitcoin (BTC) will have likely reached $200,000 by the end of 2025 regardless of who wins the 2024 United States presidential election.

According to the bank executive, three factors are poised to drive the price of Bitcoin to new all-time highs in 2025, including the likely removal of Staff Accounting Bulletin-121 (SAB-121) — a rule effectively preventing banks from holding digital assets for clients — a marginal uptick in inflation, and positive inflows into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Kendrick expects SAB-121 to be repealed by both Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Similarly, the Standard Chartered executive said that leadership changes at the Securities and Exchange Commission were likely coming — specifically noting SEC Chair Gary Gensler’s negative impact on the crypto industry and what Gensler’s potential replacement could mean for the markets.
